The Trolling reels are ideal for off shore trolling fishing, especially if you are fishing for some big game fish like mahi mahi, swordfish, sailfish, or tuna. Trolling Reels are also very good for rock bottom deep sea fishing. You wont be casting to far using a Trolling reel but you will be sure to land some bigger fish, they are designed to have a great drag system, when you are trolling and a fish hits the bait, you will need to have a semi-loose drag or you will risk loosing your fish, and maybe even the leader line along with your lure.
