There are many types of saltwater fishing and the most popular is the kind you see on TV a a lot, the guys going for the big game such as sharks, marlin, or tarpon. Saltwater fishing also involves the deep sea bottom fishing, this is if you are out to catch some monster grouper or huge snapper. This will involve some heavy duty equipment, you will need some deep sea fishing rods an reels along with some strong leader line to bring them up.

Many other saltwater fisherman choose to stay inside around land and catch some fish, though they wont get as big as they would out in the open sea you can still catch some nice trophy fish that are good eating, some of these popular fish that anglers are out to get are Snook, Redfish, Sheepshead, Mullet and many others, Many people like to fish off of piers, which can be great, especially if you do not have access to a boat all of the time, or some just like to keep it inland and fish the flats.  Whatever kind of saltwater fishing you like is up to you, most saltwater fisherman do it all !!!
